88 Basie Street - Jazz Arrangement

Originally written for the Sammy Sammy Nestico "Dark Orchid" recording and later reprised on "A Portrait Of Sammy," this classic swing tune gives all of the solo work to piano -- first in the opening 48 bars, then again in the middle and ending segments. In between the band tackles a terrific double counterpoint chorus and carries a full ensemble shout. Altos and tenors double on flute.
