Most players choose the medium strength for the best balance of tone and ease of playing. Medium-soft strength are more difficult to control for beginners but great for those with braces, or who have more developed mouth strength. Medium-hard strength are ready to play, and have enough cane left for adjustments to be made by the player or the teacher.

These reeds are made using excellent quality Charles cane and staples. They feature the classic American style scrape with a modified “V” shape tip and integrated heart and windows.
